A week back - 05 March - I headed out for a ride via the Barkerville Road, maybe 50 miles of dirt when you add in the Freeman Road which takes you back out to AZ 79 for the finishing touches. I've shown lots of pics of the Florence-Kelvin Rd, so I'll just start at the point where I was heading S on Barkerville Road. I've seen longhorn cattle here before, but NEVER this many!

Left BIG RED sitting here while I photoed the cows.

Another ten miles or so S, there's a rock outcrop on the E side - great place to stop for water and a snack!

Looks like someone's dog ran away here.

About 1.5 miles S the road "Tees" into Freeman Road, then it's about 15 miles out to AZ 79.

Around five miles N is the spot where Tom Mix (a movie cowboy, famous in the early days of film) died in 1940 after crashing his Cord automobile into what's NOW named "Tom MIx Wash", a monument on the W side of 79.
