I am a prospective buyer and researching the Versys 650 LT. From what I can find the current model does nothave a center stand and no one is making on for it. I am guessing the unsual muffler may prevent fitting a center stand. I see that Kawasaki offers a rear lift as an accessory but I would really like a center stand. Any info would be appreciated!

I'm going to let our 650 guys chime in, but I'm sure there is a center stand option. Are you looking at 2023 ... and they may not have it listed yet?

I'm not sure if the latest update happened for 22 or the 23 model but kawi site for 23 has a side exhaust exit for muffler so both side cases are the same capacity. I found the sw-motech stand but when I tried to check price for 2023 it said not available. Hopefully they plan to make one in the near future, if feasible.

22 and 23 is the same bike.

i had a constand from motea on my 21 plate ,,,it came off and went straight on the mk4 no problems at all ..they do list it now for the later models but still have the picture of the mk 3 ...it does fit with no bother good price too
i cant see other brands not fitting but all i can confirm is the motea is a deffinate
same stand both pictures
as a aside the piug engine bars swapped over spot on both are swapped with no bother or modification needed
also seat raising bracket and sergeant seat and rear hugger were a match if that helps anyone

You are probaby right. Even the shop manual says 2022-2023. There still could be minor differences though.

thats bad news i guess ... i looked into the exhaust too and that has the same part number on the microfishes ...personally knowing what i know now id order a alternative as all the fixing points and exhaust on the 21 remain the same on the mk4 so if one fits its hard to see anything preventing another going on ..it could be as simple as they havnt got around to trying it yet

What the difference is I don't know but there ARE different part numbers for frame and mufflers between 2021 and 2022 there isn't listings for 2023 yet. Center stands may bolt up the same but something IS different.

dunno tbo ..i have a full 21 delkelvic sytem that fits the mk4 i left it off for the first years warranty ...21plate centre stand fits mk 4... ,,21plate engine bars fmk4 ..seat fits ... hugger fits ...cant really say anymore than that they fit or they dont ?
i did ask severel dealers questions before making the change needlesss to say they couldnt be bothered making any effort to try and find out
one couldnt get away from his lunch box tospeak to me properly
kawasaki dealer k and d accrington lancashire
..ive seen guys put more effort into selling a burger tbo ..so what chance if i needed somthing later ...slim id think
,,,sacked the lot of em bought online delivered to my door for 1500 quid less ....cant be bothered with them .. took a chance online and if the bits swapped over or not figuring id halve me losses on e bay
it all worked out ok ..better than i hoped tbo ..around700 quid s worth of extras changed over
.ill look after it meself and if it goes wrong ill suck it up and get on with it with a 1500 quid head start ?

True, it could be an extra bolt hole, deleted something, something minor that has no mechanical difference but they changed something. The links I posted were US but did you happen to notice the real lack of price difference between a frame and a muffler? I think I found the difference, on the 21, brackets welded to the lower frame for mounting the fairing, gone on the 22 and a bracket up by the neck added to the 22

According the SW-Motech the centerstand is the same for 21-23

tbo ive looked at motch ones and i reacon they are made in the same place as moteas stock ..look identical you can see in the picture its fitted to a mk three by the lower panel ... one problem solved

When you want to use the center stand from SW-Motech you first have to flip out the side stand and after that you can use the center stand. That sucks!
With the one ffrom Hepco and Becker this is not an issue! You can put the bike on the center stand without first having to flip out the center stand!
