I cleaned and lubed my chain for the first time, and it was a pain not having the tire lifted. I'm thinking about getting a centerstand so I can do it while touring.

I know that the kickstand interferes with the centerstand sometimes, but does anyone know if the SW-Motech centerstand is compatible with the MotoWerk Flatfoot? I'd imagine it'll make the interference worse, but I'm not sure.

I have the SW-Motech centerstand and the Motowerk flatfoot installed. They do not interfere.

The minor problem is that you must put the centerstand up before raising the sidestand; otherwise, the centerstand does not go all the way up and could drag the ground when cornering.

Did you have an opportunity to test whether the centerstand lowers ground clearance? Does it scrape before the pegs when leaning? Do you have to be more careful when navigating tall curbs?

Cheftyler & fasteddie,

Thanks for your responses. I thought about doing something like the packjack, but I just like the idea of having a permanent centerstand better. Although I do like the price and the fact that I wouldn't have to install it.

Perfect. Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!

The price of the Kawasaki stand is ridiculous. I purchased a center stand for my Honda NC700x, it was around $200 I believe. And it even worked perfectly with the side stand!

A major failure on Kawasaki's engineering, I believe.

I will use a rear stand at home, and plan to purchase something like a packjack for traveling.

I tried to get a couple pics at the same angle as the bike to show the center stand and how it affects ground clearance.

If the stand hits a curb then the beefy bracket that ties both sides together probably just saved your muffler.
