I just walked out of my local dealership putting down money for a 2011 Versys and waiting for finance to approve the balance. I think I struck a good deal, $7200 OTD. I will find out on Tuesday for approval and hopefully take it home at the end of the week. It'll be an antsy weekend!

Remember that the word verisimilitude means having the appearance of truth, so versysimilitude must mean a truly awesome motorcycle!

congratulations!

I went to my dealer yesterday and was checking out the 2011 versys. Looks nice.

I wouldn't mind upgrading the mirrors and footpegs from the new model.

Yep, pretty good price. Dealer in Indy quoted me $7100 for an '09 back in November. Needless to say I walked away.

Hope it works out and you get the bike! As I've stated to others before: It is obvious you have excellent taste in motorcycles :D :thumb: :goodluck:

2011 Versys in Europe are black and red colours. They cost 7378€ without ABS and 7936€ with ABS brakes. Motorcycles in USA are more cheaper then in EU. 7200$ is about 5282 €. Very goooooooooooooooooooooood price.

Yes, Imperial Red is the only option for the 2011 Versys in the US. Luckily for me, I really like the color. I am already thinking of adding the following immediately and welcome any opinions:

1) Givi Top case monolock rack (I already have the E370 topcase monolock)

2) Acerbis Dual Road Handguards (Do these protect just as well as the barkbusters on the side, in case of a drop?)

I will hear back from the dealership tomorrow and I am aiming to pick it up ASAP!!! If only the NYC weather will cooperate, argh!!

You will not be able to use these handguards unless you drill out the threaded insert in the stock handlebars, or replace the handlebars with aftermarket handlebars. The way the Versys bar end weights are installed is a little different.
