Might be a silly question, but is it normal during the engine warmup for the revolutions to reach more than 2k RPM. My 650 does that, I'm used to a choke and normally just warm up the engine at approx 1.5k rpm.

If it decreases to normalrev. when hot, assume normal :p My 2010 is around 1.5k while warming. What is the rev. when it is warm?

It's possible im not waiting long enough. After it warms a bit it does come down, but still seems high at approx 1.6 - 1.8k RPM. Once I put it in gear, it does come down and idle eventually seems normal at about 1.2k. I'll try an extended warm up its been cold in morning lately at see what happens.

YES. Mine reduces to normal revs in about two minutes.
