The Versys X300 (aka, "mini-V") is the first brand-new, fresh from the crate, motorcycle I've bought since my big Nomad back in 2006. It's also my first adventure bike. At 5'4", the 300 fits me much better than the larger 650's or 1000's, but can still cruise at interstate speeds when necessary. Perhaps most important of all, it is light enough that I can still pick it up after an unplanned dismount (which I never plan to do, of course).
