Scorpion Trail 3, Anakee 3 or Conti Trail Attack 3

Which 90/10 tire; Scorpion Trail 2, Anakee 3, or Conti Trail Attack 3?

These appear to be the top 3. The Scorpion Trail 2 won some German dual sport adventure tire shoot out with the Anakee second. Normally I'm a Michelin guy, but I just don't know.

Anyone have any experience with any of these?

I had the Conti's on my KTM 1190 from the factory. They seemed to be decent tires but not so much if you are planning to head off road.

From what I have read the new Scorpions sound like the way to go. If it were me I would try them first.

Good luck.

I am on the second set of Scorpion Trail II on my '15 V650. They are a great tire!

On the road they are as good as anything I have ridden. The bike handles beautifully. Quick turn-in, lots of confidence in mountain twisties, and solid on the highway.

On dirt they are very good, but definitely not a knobbie. If you know you are going to be on dirt roads and nothing more than moderate trails, they are fine. I've done water crossings with them and didn't have a problem. They are ok on sandy or gravel roads. Airing down to about 28 psi, maybe 26psi sometimes, does help in the dirt especially when the surface gets soft. The tires are not for deep sand or mud.

The first set I changed out at something like 8,000 miles but they had tons of tread left. I had planned a long 2 week trip with the last part being on some moderate off road stuff, so I preemptively put on a new set.

I was seriously looking at the Anakee 3. But the sizes weren't exactly the same, and I liked the Scorpion Trails, so I stayed with them.
