Sounds "mobetta" than the little Ninja, at least to ME!

Why must everything have a 19" front wheel these days? The main reason I went with the Versys was the ability to get good street tires.

I like it. Sounds like they will probably offer a version with aluminum wheels. I prefer those

I'm wondering if the 650 Versys will get the new instrument cluster with the gear indicator.

Wait wait..... they actually figured out how to gear a gear indicator AND a temp gauge in the instrument cluster!?! Tech is good, but not good enough to get you a voltage meter. You know, that magical thing that powers the whole cluster. Never going to happen.

This is even closer to what adv bike is; the high muffler, spoke wheels with 19" in front, lighter, better range, conventional forks...
but I think Kawasaki did this because the 650 is really not selling as they expected in places like India and Southeast Asia. I think this bike is going to be a huge sales success now, in places that tax everything above 400cc. Now they will have a Versys they can afford.
I dig it!

Don't plan, just ride

Nice bike but I do prefer the current Versys 650.............solid wheels, low exhaust, and luggage. A light touring, adventure type, mid-size bike.

The X300 might be better for the folks who just want a commuter bike though.

ONE of the things that I REALLY like: at 36 HP it has the SAME HP as the KLR650, w/ WAY-Y-Y less weight...!

Yes, that is good. I'd love to see a KLR get updated to this generation of motorcycles.
it has such a cult following though. I though of one of and on for a long time, still do every now and then.

Same top end, but I'll guess way less juice on the way there.
