Givi D4121ST Windshield

Has anyone tried this windshield. I am 5'10" and have a face full of wind with the stock shield.

Big improvement

The givi windshield was one of the first things I bought for my Versys 300. I am about 6 tall, and found the stock windscreen extraordinarily noisy. The givi was a big improvement, for me at least. In fact, this past weekend I switched back to stock because I was doing some riding in the woods and did not want to damage the givi. I was struck again how loud things were with the stock. Obviously a lot depends on the individual, but for me it was well worth the money.

Not sure on the GIvi numbers you stated , but a GIVI user since 09 and worth the $$.

If you attache a windbreaker / spoiler on top of the GIVI , you are in full control of any kind of wind coming your way.

I have a very similar, almost identically shaped, Givi 410st for my Versys 650 Mk2, so assuming wind protection is very similar.

I like the larger Givi over the stock shield except when temps get hot. Basically in the heat, the stock shield is better as it flows more air to keep you cool. Otherwise, especially when it is a bit cool, the Givi is superior. I use both shields, mounting the stock shield in the heat of the summer, and using the larger Givi the rest of the riding season. Don't sell the stock shield when you get the Givi, you will want both.

BTW, heated grips make an even bigger difference in comfort when it gets a bit cool.

Had the same problem after a 3 hour drive over two mountain passes- neck bobbing wind attack with stock shield. I want to get the puig one which is the same price, comes in smoke or dark smoke, and to me- looks a bit better than the Givi. Curious if anyone has tried the Puig and how it stacks up vs. the Givi?

I have used one of these inexpensive wind deflectors - works great. Only problem is you have to look at it. But, like the windscreen, I find I'm looking over it, not through it. I'm 5' 10" on a good day.

i have the mra windscreen and though an improvement over stock for wind noise it wasn't good enough so i added the mra accessory clip on and it does very well, i tend to hear more engine sound than wind noise with it. i also bought one of the moto ones for another bike and they seem similar. the accessory clip on folds down flat when I'm on dirt and i can tilt it so it catches wind and blows it directly to my body on hot days at non interstate speeds. i love it.
