Welcome Bronx!

Welcome aboard! It's great to have the international resources that this forum provides. Some of the best trip reports that I've ever seen came from some South African riders - you have some great adventure possibilities to explore. If you get a chance, how about posting some photos from your region?

Of all the ride reports that I've read over on the ADV site, I think that this one is my favorite. The South African writer blew away a lot of misconceptions that I had about Angola. It's great to be able to hear up close and personal observations about the people of a country, rather than just the 'offiical' view that is often laden with negative views.

Bronx, I hope that you'll enjoy visiting this forum and that you'll be giving us a glimpse of what the riding is like in your part of the world.

Thank you for the welcome messages...great to be here..

Please excuse the English, I am an Afrikaans boy with a limited English vocabulary.

You are correct, we have awsome adventures over here in South Africa, we also venture into the neighbouring countries like Namibia, Angola, Mozambique, Zambia, Botswana and Zimbabwe. Some of the guys has gone as far to Cairo etc. It is only of recent that we are honoured to do this, about 17-18 years back, we where very much at war / conflict with these countries.

Since 1994 (end of apartheid) the world has opened up for South Africa, thus we are now able to receive a variety of bikes here.

I will post some pictures soon, have one or two ride reports to share as well.

Bronx:
I can't wait to see your photos and read about your rides. Don't worry about your English, I have a very limited knowledge myself.
Welcome, and thanks for joining the group.
Ride Safe,
Steve
