Ordered a Royal Enfield C5 today

After a long winter I went over to Heindl Engineering and put in an order for a C5 in black today. I'm looking forward to this "Adventure" as this will be the 1st street bike I have ever bought that was NOT a working bike, just for fun. I ordered the 7" headlight and blinkers kit as well and we are trying to get the exhaust I want in as well. I have a pair of Napoleon bar end mirrors that were a gift for my Versys from a girlfriend, they are chrome, and did not make in on the Versys BUT should look nice on the RE.

I feel like a kid...Are we there yet???!!!

No photos until the bike gets here sorry.

Or was that look THEN leap?

Pretty cool. I test drove a Enfield before I got my 2009 KLR. Neat bikes.

In some areas of the country, they are about the only bikes around, and many corners of the planet rent them for touring.

Did you get to drive one?

I don't think the one I was on for 2009 was injected, but in reading a little bit here it sounds like they are now..

cool machines, i'd love parking one of those in my garage. nice move.

In a world full of people, only some want to ride. Isn't that crazy?

Wonderful. I'm a sucker for Brit (or Brit-like) bikes. I've been owned by a Velocette and a Norton 850. Both loved and hated each one - and wish I still had them. The Enfield Continental GT makes certain parts of me tingle!

Hope your C5 threats you nicely.

Sit on one and it'll make certain parts numb! And I was told it'd come with a free trip to the Chiropractor!

Always wanted a 850 Commando, never had the money when one was for sale.
