2014 or 2015 Ninja 1000?

Question for the brains trust out there, im currently replacing my 2011 Ninja 1000 with a new version, either 2014 or 2015.

Don't get hung up on the NZ $, 2014 yesterday was $21,000 today is $19,750 due to the 2015 being released at $21,500.

There are no difference between the 14 and 15, a dealer has offered me a 2014 which would be freighted in a box from Auckland for $18,900.00 cash price, no trade in.

Im currently listed my on a web site called trade me for $13,200 or near offer, mine has 32,000km on it with a couple of small scratches.

If there are no differences, I think I'd go for the $18900 bike. After all $$$ aren't free.

The deal on the $18,900 is out the door price with 6 months registration, for a extra $100 it will include new hot grips.

There only two 2014 now left in the country so have to make a quick decision but it still leaves me to sell my current 2011 privately.

I love the Ninja 1000. I was watching the market before I picked up a Crossrunner. I think your asking price for your bike is a little high. I've seen them at dealers for less. Also with less KM's. IMO
With that in mind, I would go for the deal on the 2014.

I would get the color you really want.

Are you getting the integrated saddlebags?

Do those bags work with multiple Kawasaki bikes? My local dealer thought that the bags did not move between the 650 and 1000 Versys, but he didn't want to try while I was there.

I have yet to replace a bike with the same model. Too many different bikes out there to try. What makes the '14 that much better than the one you currently ride?

This vid will explain the difference, in NZ we only get the option of the full touring model which comes already with the panniers.
To sum up in 2014 they made a lot of changes, including the pannier mounting system which when you remove the bags the bike still looks great, softer seat, traction control, power modes, better brakes, 4 more hp, adjustable pre load on rear.

The green is the colour im getting and is what they are bringing as well as a grey version.

I hear the V1000 has a slipper clutch. Does the N1000 have one as well?
