Question Honda Transalp

What do you think about new Transalp?
Any updates on whether this bike is coming to US/Canada?

Garage
But the Honda NT700V is coming

The Honda NT700V has the same engine as the Transalp - or so says the Cycle World write up.

I got my online copy today

It looks a lot like a Versys

Neutral riding position, but only a 5 speed box.

Luggage is NOT removable, but does cross connect

It is not cheep - $9,999 base model & $1,000 more for ABS

Have any of our European friends ridden one?

Although I have had Miss Jaffa (Burnt Orange 2007 Versys) for a while, I still have a lot to learn.

yes,i have done some hundred kilometers on a transalp xlv 700.
the engine is sure the same weak v700,i checked the specs.
i was disappointed of the bikes performance ,acceleration and mileage.
the only positive for the transalp is its dual purpose a characteristic missing from the nt700v.there is also the deuvile model sharing this engine.more or less the same bike like this nt700v.anyway ,good solid bikes but outdated and expensive in comparison with other brands
