Way back when, Honda had a 50cc road-race bike, twin cylinder, DOHC, 4-valves per cylinder, revved to about 21,000 rpm (I believe).

Seems to me that ONLY dogs could appreciate that sound....

A two stroke, you say? Do I understand you correctly? To me it looks like a six cylinder four stroke engine unless I've missed something significant (and it wouldn't be the first time). Six megaphone pipes aren't indicative of a racing two stroke in my experience, even though that experience is more than a bit dated now.

Still, what an amazing sound.

Way back in the late '60s & early '70s while campaigning three bikes at Snetterton, UK, the two most memorable sounds were: first, 50cc GP bikes that sounded like enormous, very angry mosquitos and second, 3 cylinder MV Agustas (especially when ridden by Agostini). On four wheels it was, without hesitation, BRM's H-16 Formula One car.

It does sound "racey" but I'm with Arion, there's no expansion chambers, seems like a four stroke to me. I think I caught a slight valve train noise at one point in the video, again, not like a 2 stroke.

It is a 4 stroke at 1:55 in the video you can clearly see the camshaft covers. Still sounds awesome

Here's a real 2 stroke... Sound great with 5 cylinders. I love the howl when he's back on the throttle after shifts.

Shazaam! That's great - a FIVE cylinder Kwacker two stroke. That has to be a one-off, unless I've missed something rather profound I my past.

And I thought the sound of my Suzuki T-500J with expansion pipes sounded nice (noise regulations in England in the early '70s were more relaxed).
