That is a twin. 500cc engine now used in the CBR500 series. Not real powerful but very smooth and sips fuel sparingly in my wife's Honda.

Looks like the perfect adventure tourer. There might be another Honda in my future.

no news from Intermot, maybe we'll see something from EICMA next month. i think Yamaha is a better bet to build the dream machine based on their parallel twin, but i'd be happy to see either. previous thread.

In a world full of people, only some want to ride. Isn't that crazy?

We don't need any more 1000 cc adventure tourers what we need is a 500 cc twin that weighs around 400 lbs and gets 55 mpg.

And isn't so tall that short riders require supplemental oxygen!

You could easily get 60 hp from a 500cc twin.

crf450 looks like a nice ride. I love the <800 cc range personally. don't feel the need for anything bigger with modern engine design.

Looks like a big CRF450 Rally. Wow. This could be good.
Is it just me or did anyone else think the name "eccola" was a bit close to Ebola? And it's an "Africa twin"..cmon I cant be the only one making this connection. If im out of line let me know... Seems like bad marketing like Chevy "Nova" meant "no go" in espanol.

Ian, that's an Italian magazine and looking on the internet it looks like ECCOLA essentially means Here It Is. It's a sweet looking bike.

Ride To Live, Live To Ride....no, really!

That was a photo of the dirty Africa Twin... No clutch lever with its dual-clutch tranny.
