2014 vfr800

I'm really looking forward to this bike. There's a sexy maturity about it.

Just bought my Versys last Autumn, but this bike will definitely be in my top three when I decide to buy a new one in about 3-5 years.

Sincerely,

Saw it in the flesh at the big mc show in England at the end of November. Usual Honda build quality and some lovely detail touches. I have a soft spot for VFR's as I've owned three in the past. But in all honesty, I think the Big H should have been more adventurous and up-sized the motor a bit and dumped the Vtec system to revert to gear driven cams as they only really dropped that design to lessen build costs.

Good luck exploring the infinite abyss

Agree with the "sexy maturity" observation and the soft spot for Honda V4s. Looking forward to seeing one in person.

I to am a big fan of the VFR. I think its one of the best looking bikes with luggage attached. I've seen old 800's hooned at track days, toured all over the place, carving up country roads and generally being a damn versatile bike. Im genuinely glad to see it back in the lineup. However, I am still suspect about VTec. I know Honda has said they smoothed it out a good bit and blah blah blah but there are a lot of people who have found it annoying in the past and I would rather not deal with it.

And as we are talking about VTec, I am going to be THAT GUY and post . . .

I had a 2007 VFR800 special edition. It was the most disappointing motorcycle I've ever owned. The V-Tec was horrible, kicking on and off mid turn. The tall gearing was brutal. The ABS was extremely spongy and lacked all feel. Every time you had to stop, it resulted in just mashing the brakes. The bike ran extremely hot all the time. It sure did look sweet though.
