bmw r1150gs v 2009 yam tenere v suzuki dl650x

well i had the old bmw r1150gs , for a year or so , a big old beast of a bike , sure felt like it was the size of an elephant , once on the move it was a great bike and it killed off the miles no problem nothing would stop it, but service costs and parts were way high

i got my eyes on the yamaha 660 tenere and fell in love with it on the spot , it looked like a rally raider, big tank the looks everything , i paid the money and rode it home , a big 660cc single gave plenty of go and it handled well on road and even better off road i even did 2500 miles around france on it , the only things that let it do is the seat hight and the bloody seat its a killer after 100 miles it feels like your sitting on broken glass

after selling the tenere i looked for an allrounder like the versys but couldnt find a good one in the dealers so i ended up buying the suzuki dl650x v strom or as they like to call it the wee strom , lower than the tenere and the seat a 1000 times better , the v twin engine pulls like a train and is smooth as they come , handles like a sports bike , and you can take it off road with the right tyres on it , it does very well , but i still hanker for a the versys
