Thumbs up My sons first bike

Howdy all...Just thought I'd post some pics of my sons first ride...Its a 1975 Kawa f11b with 4k miles...250cc two stroke...Kinda of a barn find, but the sucker runs sweet and everything is orginal...Great first bike, handles great, not to powerful and he can flatfoot it...Now if he can keep me off the thing...

I had a smaller version a way back when , a 1974 100 and had a blast on it , i still remember the hi & lo tranny for a total of 10 gears ! and pulling the baffle out of the exhaust just to sound BAD ! lol
I hope your son enjoys & remembers his first bike for a long time

That is one cool bike! You said its sort of a 'barn' find. Did you guys do the restoration work as a father/son project ?

Actually it was more of a "garage find"...The gentleman we bought it from had it sitting for some 25 years...Pulled and cleaned the carb, installed points, fresh gas and a new plug and she fired on second kick...Cosemetically all we did was give her a bath and a little wax...Seat needs to be recovered, but thats about it...

If I new what I was doing, I wouldn't still be working
