Definitely like that they are made here...no dealers in my state but there are some in nearby states they look pretty fancy. Maybe a demo day trip is in my future.

I've been on their mailing list and have been getting wonderfully worded updates for some time. Looks interesting - 1600 plus cc pushrod V four, well outfitted, and not bad looking but, damn, it's costly (and unproven). I'd be hard pressed to justify over $30K for anything on two wheels. Well, just maybe one of Mike Halewood's TT winning bikes.

Guess I should ride up to AF1 Racing in Austin and get a first hand look-see.

And where the heck would you put crash bars on this $37k bike??? I'm assuming you'd want/need them with those heads sticking out there...

Katech, a Michigan-based firm that supplies engines to General Motors and its Pratt and Miller Corvette racers, designed and engineered the cam-in-block (pushrods instead of overhead cams), two valve per cylinder, 1650cc KMV4 ride-by-wire GDI (Gasoline Direct Injection) engine.

Interesting. Simple and basic old school engine design. Nothing like cubic capacity. Got to hand it to John Britten, for what he achieved with the resources he had available. Great to see bikes like this being made.

The spec sheet says 225# ... Something ain't right their !

Also, chain drive, at that price would be nice to have a diff !

Must say that 160bhp is appealing !!!

I'm sure it's a fantastic bike, but it doesn't look that much different from mine, & you could have 4 Versys for the price of one of them!

Wow, for 30K you'd think they'd make a bike that wasn't so F-ugly. That V4 just hanging underneath, with those boring headers coming off? They could have at least matte blacked the engine casings and wrapped the pipes. The rest of the bike is nice, but it looks like the thing is carrying home a replacement engine to drop in its Honda Fit..

Seems a bit like a ST1300 as done by H-D.

I don't mind push rod but the price is a deal breaker for a cheap old KLR rider who stepped up to a Versys.

Well at least I have the same bags on my bike.

Or was that look THEN leap?
