F800gsa?

Anyone test ride one? I'm curious about it and wondering how it would stack up against the V on the interstate/highway, particularly a V that is running a 44 sprocket. Obviously it would be better off road but on road?

The Versys is a better street bike with similar power (at half the price), the BMW a better enduro bike with better fit and finish.*

Test road one at BMW demo day. Well put together and a much better off road bike. But on pavement the Versys is better at higher speeds. The BMW steering with the 21 inch front wheel makes it feel unstable at highway speeds. Really the only thing I did not like about the bike but a major issue for me, something that would keep me from ever buying one.

And that's the major thing with me. Yeah, great I would be able to hit off road better then I can with the V, but the down grade on the highway is what I'm having a problem with. And like you say, half the price even after farkle crap. I don't know, always looking at whats out there.

I 'tested' the BMW F800GS, F700GS, 1200GS, and the V-strom before buying my first Versys. I figure I got the best one of the lot, and I've ridden AT LEAST a couple of thousands of miles on dirt/ gravel and mud on my Vs....

And, FWIW (NOT counting the co$t of farkles) TWO brand-new Vs (an '08 in Sept '08, and an '09 left-over in Nov '10) cost me $12,900 OTD! It was near impossible to get a price break on the '08 after it was declared MOTY by Motorcyclist Magazine....
