Vietnam Ride Report

Well when i did my big Florida ride on the V this summer it was a bit of a practice for a long ride i was planning for Vietnam.

Just got back from that ride. All the practice on the V paid off...

Here is the ride report:

800 K in 6 days. Exhausting and exhilarating.

Rolling out of the city and right into the romance of the ride.

Our "home stay".

Family time...

Day 2, 3 and 4 brought land slides and rain.

One section of 30 miles took over 2 hours to cover. Good fun!

Just go for it!

ADV bikes get to park IN the hotel lobby!

Look close, you'll see the chicken bouncing off my bike...

Street market.

Share the road...

SHARE THE ROAD!!!

City trafic was probably the most stressful part of the trip.

100 countries or bust...80 so far.
Rides: Ecuador, Haiti, Laos, Sri Lanka, Tibet & Vietnam

I think the British programme Top Gear did a ride along the coast there, but it was no where near as stressful as your route!!!

Could you give us an idea of the costing involved from plane tickets to meals etc??

That show was a blast but yes ours wax a little more harsh.

I think my flight was around $1,500.

The ride was very cheep. Around $120 per day including: Bike, fuel, food, lodging and guide! that was based on the size of our group.

Can't recommend these guys highly enough.

offroadvietnam - Thanks for the extra pic. I didn't know there was one of me crossing the bridge. That ROCKS!

Thon was an amazing ride leader! Please give him my greetings when he get's back!
