Yamaha 850 Triple this Fall

The new naked Yamaha 850 Triple is due out this Fall.

I know that predictions are always difficult, especially when they involve the future , but does anyone have any insight as to whether or not Yamaha will offer a "Sport Touring" version of the 850 with a fairing and windshield?
Is it likely that a good aftermarket fairing/windshield could show up?

I now regularly commute on my '08 V at 75 to 85 mph, and the head buffeting is getting to me. It may be time for a change soon.

There's a lot of talk on the fz-09 about what would make it perfect (even if no one has one yet!) and I imagine in a short time some factory and aftermarket items will be out 'cause it sounds like there a good amount of interest. I imagine the lack of those things are part of what keep the price so low. I too would love to see some rider protection on a bike with that engine.

Lots of talk here: http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=891652

Small gas tank would be a problem for me. Not to say they won't upsize it on the next models....

Someday is not a day of the week.

I had no idea Wisconsin had an 85 mph speed limit! Who would have thunk it.

I'm thinking the naked FZ09 want be a problem with buffeting. I ride my son's SV650 sometimes which is the naked version and it's all clean air riding it at hwy speeds.

Sold 2005 honda vtx 1300 bought an '09 versys

During morning rush hour, at 7am, we are all doing 85!

Yeah but... even though the buffeting is gone (or greatly reduced), the effort to hang on a naked bike (at higher speeds) becomes annoying/fatigueing... Trade-offs... Hmmm.
