Triumph Tiger 675

anyone heard rumors about a tiger 675 ? If triumph builds one that triple is gonna be some serious competition for the versys but it would also be more expensive.

Garage
That rumor has been around for about two years. I haven't found anything to confirm it from a reputable source. Here's a bad photoshop of one:

Latest from head of kawasaki UK, there is no plans to build a 1000cc versys at this time and no real plans for the future as they do not think there is a place in the market at this time to go bigger ( it appears there are various big cc bikes in the versys style around at the moment so the market will not take any more ) this was sourced from an interview last week with the top man himself,,,,

If Kawi were smart they would not put a 1000cc in the V. They would go with a 750cc or 800cc, or 848cc, or something like that. Need to keep the bike light yet maybe add a few cc's. Be sure and keep the throaty sound of the inline twin though. This gives the V it's character, otherwise, it would just be another FZ sista!!

Man, don't make me go bike shopping again. If Triumph makes a baby Tiger I hope it turns out to be a real dog. I really don't want to get rid of my Versys.

The Triumph 675 motor is a screamer, nearly opposite in nature to the Versys twin. Triumph would need to significantly re-tune the engine for it to make an all-rounder like the Tiger.

I had a daytona, and i have a tiger....triumph knows how to retune a motor for mid-range. I made the jump to the V, and I'm not going to kick myself when the tiger cub comes out, the grass is green enough on this side.
