Have a CTX-DCT with 35k miles.
I don't use the D, DOG mode, shifts up/down too frequently.
Use the S, Sport about 20% of the time. Heavy traffic or if I
am looking for a location/something and don't want the bother.
Use the M, Manual mode the other 80% of the time. Especially
in the twisties where you want it to stay in a certain gear.
You can up/down shift <almost> any time in any mode.
It will auto downshift in any (under 15mph?) mode if you are braking and rolling off
the throttle... nice. It won't let you do anything dumb , insofar, as breaking
You cannot skip gears, all in sequence.
No push starting.
Can't shift into neutral while moving.
Bug in software in S mode, holds in 3rd gear a bit too long.
IMO, its the way to ride. We are not racers, but they use
variants in most moto sports.
I would not have purchased the X300
without the ultra light/slipper/anti-hop clutch.
