Is anyone else eyeing this bike and liking what you see as much as I am? The more details and specs that come out the more I am smitten with this bike. Looks aside.... 500lbs wet, shaft drive, cornering ABS, traction control, cruise control, LCD screen, multiple engine maps, spoke wheels.... its a package of unique features not really available in any other bike in the segment.
Shaft drive in a 500lbs touring capable bike is what im jazzed about. I hate chain maintenance, like the ability to switch up ratios but will give that up for a shafty anytime. Cornering ABS is a very premium feature IMO, on high end sporty bikes more than touring ones at this point, so thats a big feature for them to include.
I happen to really like how it looks too. It is said to be 'priced aggressively' which could mean a lot of things. It appears there may be 2 trim levels offered, bags, led lights, and premium suspension appear on the grey painted bike. Could be from accessory catalogs but good to see accessories already on one, they are serious about this bike! Either by MSRP or depreciation, I am going to have trouble resisting once the asking falls below $10K
Im diggin their color choices also. The blue/grey is very nice but I would go for the White/Yellow myself
Its not reallllly a KLR replacement but I could convince myself of that pretty quickly I think
