BMW rt1200

My buddy let me borrow his rt1200 for a week. Been riding it for a couple days and headed out to Julian Ca tomorrow which is about a 250 mile round trip ride. This bike is like a Cadillac and handles great a slow speeds for being a bigger bike.

A buddy of mine in Texas sold his Versys for one and I haven't seen him on the forum since...He's the guy in the red jacket.

I test-rode an 1200RT about a year ago, and also an FJR. I ended up getting a Concours and love it. Not as many bells and whistles as the 1200RT, but I actually like the ride a tiny bit better and I paid only about half of what the 1200RT costs. The Connie also handles pretty darn well at slow speeds for its size and feels really nice on the highway -- and that 1352 cc engine seems like a rocket to me!

I actually have a 2017 Connie. I love the bike. Dropped the pegs, put 2 inch risers on the bars, and had the MC Enterprise canyon cages installed. I agree, canít beat it for the money. The Connie is definitely more exciting to ride. Itís a sports car compared to the rt1200.

Just got back from a 300 mile ride. The BMW is smooth and handles well in the twisties. It has excellent wind protection. The bike averaged 50mpg. The bike has some nice features including cruise control. The bike brand new goes for $23k and change. With that being said, Iím still not giving up my Connie. I paid 9k less OTD and the Connie is a lot more of a spirited ride. I know people talk about cruise control, but I didnít even use it or think about today. With that 9k I saved I could buy another bike, which I did, a V1k.
