Good bye Versys

Good bye Versys

After about 4 years with my Versys I sold it and will get my new bike in on 1st march.

I loved the V, but to be honest… the BMW is a class of its own

I am so excited… 8 weeks to go 

All the best with the new toy, had a 650cc single GS before the Versys and loved it and sure the f800GS will be awesome.

F800GS is quite a good bike, as easy as our V with an engine with more torque.

The only one disturbing thing is the seat, as comfortable as a pew
I hope that you'll have the same fun as you had with your previous bike ;-)

Thx

I´ve heard that lot of people have problems with the stock seat.
Since I didn´t had any problems on a 3,5 hour ride I did not order the comfort seat immediately. I´ll wait and see…

Enjoy the new ride.

(One has to wonder why a "comfort seat" would not be standard equipment on any bike?)

1. Look
2. Real Off road (adventure) bike
3. Engine
...

After four years it was time for a change

I did not like the engine of the V for cruising. It has lots of power above 4000rpm, but I did not like the sound, vibration and the feel of the engine when cruising at lower speeds. I always tried to get as fast as possible to 6th gear...

The engine of the BMW has more power, torque, and you can enjoy it in every gear.

Can go off-road

The look of the V is also very special. I have never been a fan of it

The V is a good bike for a very good price but my heart always wanted a BMW, it looks great

The next one will probably be the 1200GS in a few years

For Off road is definetelly better
The looks are yours opinion off course

But for the everything else i dont agree, they have the same performance(checked so many times), and the seat of versys is king thrown if you look the seat to F800gs

Thats only my opinion, you got the bike, everything else is blah blah blah, have nice rides with it

F800 Advantage

I have both the F800GS and a Versys in my garage.
The F800GS is more comfortable, smoother, can keep up in the twisty bits and absolutely rules when the roads get broken up ( bumpy, broken or gravel) over the Versys.
It is as much fun too but is very tall.
The F800GS should do all of this as it is about twice the price and half as reliable. Thankfully there is a 3 year warranty to pick up the problems.

The F800GS is probably one of the best bad road bikes out there. It is as competent at 80 mph on the gravel as the Versys is on pavement at that speed.

I have not found the standard seat to be an issue, even with up to 1,000 km days.

The reason I have both is because they are both very competent and very fun. The BMW just lets you have the same fun on bad roads and lets you go some places you really shouldn't visit on the Versys.

You will enjoy it.
