The 1218cc VR6 is a compact 15 degree V6 TOHC (triple over head cam) with all cylinders in the same bank, and it's supercharged. Good for 200HP at 8500 rpm... Pretty cool bike. Can you dig it, Black Dynamite?!

I like it. Very interesting design features. Doubt this one will make it to the U.S.

Nice concept bike, looks tough, as do most naked motorcycles; it seems to have an awesome powerplant, not much said about the rest of the motorcycle. And what does anyone know about Hortex anyway?
"As an historic motorcycle brand, HOREX has the kind of charisma that today's manufacturers can only dream about. Sought after, esteemed, widely recognized – for many, HOREX remained nothing more than a dream. For many decades, the HOREX name stood for exceptional drive technologies and for innovative, high-quality motorcycles. The new HOREX is committed to this tradition. And even the motto of HOREX founder Fritz Kleemann used in the advertising back then is still valid for today's HOREX team: "Built by bikers for bikers!“

Sorry, guess I missed that history lesson!
"The world premiere of the new HOREX motorcycle in June 2010 also marked the start of an innovative sales network for the new premium motorcycle made in Germany. According to current plans, the exclusive HOREX Roadster will be sold starting at the end of 2011 by around 60 selected dealers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

In 2012 the retail network will be expanded to central European markets starting with France, the Benelux countries and Italy. Afterwards, sales activities will extend to the rest of Europe and selected markets outside the EU."

Sounds like one expensive one off machine, reminds me of what the New Indian company is doing here. Good luck to them.

Could use a little wind protection. Wouldn't want to adjust those valves. If you gave me one it would go straight to ebay.

It's an engineering marvel but I feel that is completely in the wrong direction.
Why make something that no one can reasonable have (20k euro) with power you couldn't possible use in that configuration and with road speed limits?
Why overcomplicate and make something unobtainable to the absolute majority of people?
It's the same with that new Ducati and the new 6 cylinder BMW.
Large motorcycle manufacturers are mowing in such strange direction and it seems smaller ones are following.

Here are a few links on the Horex if anyone is interested:

Something about six cylinder bikes just does it for me. You could balance a marble on a CBX and it wouldn't move while it was running they are that smooth. They all have way more power than I prefer for street riding but they sure do look awesome.

While I do think Volkswagen engineers are all spawned by Satan (ever tried to work on one?) it's hard not to admire the VR6. Is that thing a Volkswagon design or did Horex build their own and pay royalties on it?
