2019 Versys 1000 SE LT+ Too hot from right knee

Hi guys,

Just bought a new 2019 Versys 1000 SE LT+. It is amazing bike but I found that from right knee is coming very hot air. I can understand that the fan is blowing hot from the engine but the another bikes I have (Honda CRF1000A and Suzuki GSXS1000F) I never had this problem.
Does someone has the same on his bike or there are something wrong on my one?

Regards,

I was normal before I got on a bike!

Its normal and we have member who have the same problem. Keeping your knee away from the tank might help. Funny, as I see some riders here who rider with shorts in the tropical heat.

Tank grips may help as well.

The ONLY time I had noticeable heated-air blowing onto my right knee was when I took a 1200 Buell on a test-ride.

For me it would have been a deal-breaker.

You ride in LA, where all the air blowing on you is hot.

Regards,
That's the way it's designed to work, if you are riding slower or in the city the fan will run more often. I'd be more concerned if you didn't feel any heat which would mean your fan isn't working

2015 Here. The four cylinder bread oven? The fan kicks on at 212 or so. My experience- Its really miserable on a hot day in traffic. I find my thicker riding pants are cooler than something thin. Its a cool weather bike in my opinion, but thick pants and a cooling vest or wet t shirt help, especially if shes cute.
