Ram mount options

Ram mounts, on my C14, I had 2 mounts that were on the mounting bolts of both the front brake and clutch levers using the bolts that clamp onto the bars.

Is this a favoured way for mounting on the Versys or is there enough room to clamp directly on the bar space wise?

I don't get my 2020 until spring but want to collect the accessories now while I try to wait patiently!!

I bought a mirror mount RAM I haven't installed yet. Currently using a handlebar mount. I believe someone here has a ball mounted through one of the holes on the windshield bracket.

Personally, I'm not at all fond of the look of mounts on fluid reservoirs.

FWIW I also have the one that goes in place of one of the riser bolts, had it for years and works perfectly.

One of these:

The second photo shows how the ball mount is screwed in via a lengthened riser bolt.

If the riser bar on the 1000 is like the one on the 650, there's no room to use the handlebar clamp between the risers.

That Era Versys was a good looking bike.

From the side

I thought someone here had used one of the holes on the inside that are left open in the bracket. I kinda thought it was you, actually.
