2019 Versys 1000 Mirror Lock Nuts Very Tight

I'm wondering if anyone has had this issue. I rotated my bars up just a smidgen but now the mirrors just touch the shield on full lock. I loosened the left mirror, then went to loosen the lock nut and for the life of me it will not come loose. I can see the bottom and top nuts are both just on the verge of rounding off. I was going to just spin the whole mirror out but the shield is in the way, so i snugged it back in, just not so tight. Is there any way the one side is a left hand thread?

Ok I feel like an idiot. The top nut is indeed left hand thread on both sides. I never bothered with it before as none of my Kawi cruiser's were like that. Good to know.....
