PR4 had this problem, great feel and grip in the wet, But very strange feeling getting in to a corner. Most people agree that was due to tire profile. Or a mix between it and the double compound.

Michelin advertised that this was solved in PR5 but it doesn't sound they did it by your description.

When was this change made? Mine was manufactured the 14th week of 2018.

Good choice on road5. The rear stock dunlops on my 2015 650 lasted about 8K miles and it had started showing the center flat spot at about 6K miles. After that I put Michelin road5 and so far i have about 14K miles and I still see it could last for another 2K miles. This is all pure straight freeway commute.

I changed the front Dunlops at 15K and they were in very bad shape by then. I have road5 on front as well, I really like them.
