Crash bars question ('16 Versys 1k)

Ive been kicking around the idea of crash bars since the bike is tall and I am cursed with stubby legs. Are you able to still get the side fairing off with the bars installed? Or do they have to come off before you can get to anything? Its a little difficult looking at the pictures to see if there is enough room so whos got them on their bike?

BTW, Im looking at the SW ones but open to others.

I went with the T-Rex Frame Sliders and their are no issues and they work great with the MotoWerk Highway Peg Mounts i installed. I'm sure someone will chime in soon on the crash bars.....And Yes The Gremlin Bell Has Tits......

I installed the SW Motech bars on my 2016 V and you can still remove the side fairings without the bars interfering, it is a close fit but not to bad.
