20 years married

Since this is off topic, we have just celebrated 20 years of marriage and I survived, went on a 4 day trip to Auckland, NZ. She was a bit nervous in the small plane with me have access to the dual controls, she gave the pilot very clear instuctions before taking off about not letting me fiddle with anything.

I notice she's in the back seat while giving instructions. Some things never change.. even after 20 years eh?

Seriously... congrats and here's to many more years to come.

That's brilliant mate! Congratulations from across the big pond! Wishing you both a lifetime together of smiles.

I can't say I blame her for being a bit of a sook about flying though. I'm a control freak and can't stand letting someone else at the controls.

Thank's mate, the young pilot that took up up in a 15 min flight was only 20 and the small plane was only a 6 seater, was going to say to him that he had the fuel mixture a bit lean and i could get more power out of it but knew i would get the evils from the back seat pilot.

Your Kiwi is good Thumper

All jokes aside she is pretty clever, she studied to be a dispensing optician a few years ago and was no 1 student in Australasia half way through her course, this was out of 800 so she got a special invite to attend the graduating cermony in Sydney of the prevous class to get a special award, its a long way to go to another country for a flash meal but we had to pay for our own flights but at least the food and drink was free.

Your Kiwi is good Thumper
You have trust beyond comprehension! I'm not sure I would knowingly put my family's life in the hands of a pilot that's so young.

On the other hand, I willingly put my wife's life in the hands of someone I don't trust much from time to time (me)

Good Luck on the next twenty or more years! I'll be rolling up on 40 years myself soon.

She gets embarrased when I tell people that but by all means come to NZ as there is great riding. Just reading a book about a guy who rides all over the world and the chapter on at moment talks about riding the tail of the dragon in north carolina but he also says there is some very good or better equivalent twisties here.

There you have it, I'm sold! Pack the bike, nothing else, I'll get everything else I need when I get there.

Ah, if it were only that easy! Nice daydream, just gonna have to wait a few years to make it reallity.
