Flying Museum - Ford Tri-Motor

This past Thursday (7-15) thru the weekend. A Ford Tri-Motor has been giving rides to the flying public from Muskegon Airport. During a break at work, I went down to the ramp and shot some still pictures and some 720p video with my Verizon Droid X cell phone.

Some history.... not bad for an 80+ year old plane!

In Camera Sepia Setting

Sample Video (just testing the camcorder in the Droid X) .. Hope to have some more when the Tri has its engines running.
No Video

Beautiful piece of history. I am a commercial aircraft mechanic. I love seeing the older birds restored. They had a classy look to them.

I'm from Muskegon too. My Father's Day 2009 present from the family was a flight in the tri-motor from the Grand Rapids Airport. What a kick! They let me sit in the co-pilot seat and hang my arm out the window. Is Kilofox a Versys rider too?

That one was at our airport, Holman Field, St. Paul, a few years ago. Beautiful aircraft.
