Top 3 picks

I love my Vee and plan to keep it for A long time, but there are other bikes out there that look real inviting. I know some of you already have multible bikes but if you could get another what would your top 3 picks be?
Mine would be
1. Triumph bonneville
2. bmw F800gs
3. ducati classic 1000gt
also like the royal enfield.

  1. MV Augusta Brutale 990R
  2. Ducati Monster 796
  3. Triumph Street Triple

I want to be much more skilled than I am before I jump on one though. Also, I'm not sure what I think looks cool will be the same thing I enjoy riding. But there are so many great bikes out there ... the list could be huge.

#3 would be a 2010 KTM 990 Adventure R

#2 would have to be the mythical 800cc Versys

And number one would be this,

#1 Ducati Multistrada 1200 massively lowered or with portable step stool and outriggers
#2 Triumph Tiger (lowered at least 2 inches)
#3 BMW 1200GS (factory low seat and lowest suspension setting)
......forming a pattern here huh?

I did the Royal Enfield thing for a while... All I have left now is the hat and the T-shirt. A 96 Bullet 500 and a pair of 2000 year 350's. Great bikes to fiddle with and putt country backroads but murder on the highway!

Here is my pic -- and current stable

2008 Kawi Versys
2005 Triumph Sprint ST
2009 Kawi Concours 1400 ABS

I looked into "doing it all" with a 2010 Ducati Multistrata 1200S...but not sure it will have the versatility and variety of the current stable....

Dare I say it...

1) Vstrom 650
2) triumph spirit st
3) Yamaha is coming out with a BMW 1200 Dual Purp killer - read about it and it sounded very nice! Although projected 20k price tag is not so nice, cheaper parts and repair would be

That depends, what day is it?
Ok, here goes:
Classic Indian, 30s or 40s
BMW K 1300 S.
The new KTM 450 http://www.ktm.com/

Notice two things: the first two are waaaay out of my price range, the third I am too old for. More importantly, none are in the
tall sport category of the versys, or even all rounder. The Versys is the best, in my opinion. It is certainly good enought for me.
