I was eating lunch with some friends a month ago outside where we could see all 3 of our bikes. My Versys and the other two were a Harley and a Triumph all new 2010 bikes. We were there for about 10 minutes when a man and woman rode up each on their own Harleys and they were both so loud it was embarrassing. There is no way that could even be legal to have them so loud. When they left, the man went out of his way to rev up the engine way too loud. Gee, maybe mommy and daddy didn't pay enough attention to him as a child? What a joke! I have seen and heard the same when on Lake Travis in Austin, TX with guys in these giant boats that make too much noise and laugh when I pull up in my quiet little 17' Cutter runabout my dad bought in 1962 secondhand. Both the boat and I were made in 1961 so it's cool to have a boat still working that's as old as me. The motor is an '89 but still runs great! I got the boat in 1993 from my brother and have done numerous upgrades to the boat and the trailer. Best part is that it's all paid for!

I ride mostly offroad and the majority is constantly punished for the minority who think having the loudest pipe makes them faster. Loud doesn't equal cool, fast, or anything positive.

I see the whole thing as a look at me I need some attention thing.
