Any Recommendations for a Forum

Just looking for recommendations of good political forums for those that might find them useful. I get it that there is an off topic section but seriously there has to be another place for those that focus primarily on politics.

I do not know actually. Never searched for one. I like reading about motorcycles and that is how I ended up here. Well, that and I like the Versys.

Which is exactly why if they wanted a Political Forum to discuss their agendas on, they would find one. Unfortunately, that does not appear to be the intention, rather it is to push issues here - as far from the intended purpose of this forum as can be.

I learned how to use the "ignore" feature, it made things much better. Though I do like your idea better.

"They" have probably been banned from any forum that actually has moderators so they are left with this one. Like some others, I have found the Ignore feature of some use. However, I have moved on to a motorcycle forum that is mostly about motorcycles...even the off topic sections have some motorcycle tangent in many cases...for most of my motorcycle related discussions, RTE's, motorcycle event planning, planned group rides and so forth.

I'm no diplomat

I was in this forum for over a year...righties ruled the off topic discussion...all sorts of rightie stuff including threats against the president..degrading pictures of the president..all sorts of attacks on anyone not agreeing..NOT A PEEP...pull out the Jesus and the logic...OH PHUCKING HELL...What's THAT stuff??
alright..sure..uh huh..gotcha..the skin is thin on one side...
People in here even hate the good book when it's not on their side...strange strange strange...good book threads only get 3 stars after starting out with 5?? must be some non-christians rating the threads...either that or people who just can't stand to hear the good words...devils and satanist mostly...are they dragging you down with them?
it's HARD to be TRUE christian..much easier to get involved in the "material" world...

For those who are unfamiliar with internet forum options:

I didn't join this forum to read about politics or invisible guys from story books (I like/ believe in science). I did join to read about motorcycles and motorcycle related topics though.

Yeah. So far, controlling the mouse has worked pretty well to ignore threads, but yeah, sometimes it's nice to not have to see some of those threads...thanks for "ignore" tip in the user CP

I had no idea about the ignore feature either. Just to clarify I don't have an issue with the fact that people have religious or political views. Everyone has their opinions on these topics and should be able to freely express them. Just wished it was focused at the proper audience. My favorite thing to do on the motorcycle forums that I visit is to select todays post to see current issues or new motorcycle related info.

BTW, this is the most friendly motorcycle forum I have ever visited. Not sure if I misunderstood a comment here but I don't think I would label the Versys forum satanic in any way. A great group of riders on this forum.

I was OK when there was one or two threads. One or two threads, you can join in or easily ignore them, but it just kept growing like a fungus, what is there now like 5 or 6 political threads. It really got out of hand, if you don't want to be part of it you have to ignore most of the OFF TOPIC forum now.
The occasional political thread is fine and appropriate in the OFF TOPIC forum just like it's fine to bring it up in general conversation but if it's continually beat to death it's a problem.
OK so those are your political beliefs, fine, moving on now.

I just recently found out the ignore function works for PMs as well as posts if anyone is having problems in that department.

I would love to ride with a group of Versys owners. There was a thread before that was Versys spotting and I always checked to see if someone spotted me. I really don't ever see another in the wild. There was a Versys that I would spot parked on the submarine base but I never met the owner. I think that this bike is going to be a blast in Hawaii.
