Should Have Had A Camera ( Idiot Siting )

Was on the way to work this morning took the truck because of rain and needed to drop off the dry cleaning. Pulled into my favorite Do-Nut shop and pulled up next to an older Harley and a high school age kid starts to get on the bike wearing shorts, sandals,a t-shirt,backpack and his protection gear consist of the smallest so called helmet i had ever seen and sunglasses. I'm sure he's never laid a bike down on pavement and i pray he never does.

I had a camera but the rider I saw turned left before we could get it up and shooting....RIder on a gixxer, 1 dollar flip flops, shorts, wife beater T and a Shoei helmet...Glad he had the helmet though, he can watch all those painfree skin grafts in "real time"...

If I new what I was doing, I wouldn't still be working

No helmet, no brains I say. That goes for bicycles too.

Not to be an @sshole, but the header should be spelled: "Idiot Sighting." The way it is currently spelled, it almost implies that this is where the idiot is, i.e., "sited."

That is all...

Yes I know tried to change it. I guess you can't edit the "header"

My crash

A beautiful fall morning.. light dew on the ground...leaves are all changing color and the air is FRESH...about 7 am.I'm waiting to make a left of the main hwy. onto a side street... the guy ahead of me goes and there is no traffic so I go....just as soon as the guy passes the pedestian crossing he stops dead ..no signal no warning...some damp leaves on road...DOWN I GO...at least the grey haired ol fart had the decency to ask if I was okay as I peeled the bike out from under his car.....YA IT WAS MY FAULT...I KNOW ...BUT IT WAS THE FIRST TIME I had dropped the GS400 and it was scuffed...not a happy morning anymore!!

aside from the safety issue, its good to see young people on bikes, motorcycling is slowly dying in this country along with us aging baby boomers, these kids nowadays sure take chances, not like the safety minded kids of my generation [kidding if anybody thinks I serious]
