Vancouver/BC vacation info needed?

After a business trip to Vegas in mid may, thinking of 8 day holiday, Vancouver area. Or possibly via Rockies (denver?) by train to Vancouver? Thats all we know at this stage.

Just wanted some "must see" ideas whilst in or around these areas? Prefer natural wonders but will be in Vancouver itself too.

any ideas?

Stanley Park in Vancouver is beautiful. Grouse Mountain offers a spectacular view after a ride on the gondola. Capilano Suspension Bridge is also very interesting. All in the Vancouver area.

Rent mountain bikes in Whistler, ride the Gondola to the top, bike down. Zip lines through the trees in Whistler as well. There's ATV rentals and tours also. It's pretty easy to get to Whistler Whistler Transportation.
Rent motorcycles or scooters from Cycle BC and see the city and Stanley Park.

Take a ferry trip to Vancouver Island, and drive up to Long Beach and check out the waves and scenery, nothing betwen waves & Japan!

You could also go to Victoria on the Island, a nice touristy area.

Rent the motorcycle and ride the Sea to Sky Highway to Whistler, then do the mountain biking.

Grouse Mountain - a ski resort visable from downtown - has lots of summer attractions. You can go up the Gondola or walk / climb / run /crawl up the Grouse Grind. With an elevation gain of 853 metres (2800 feet) and an ascending gradient of 40 degrees, the 2.9 km trek up the side of Grouse Mountain, is no small feat.

Girls do it in 31:04 minutes

If you have a good travel budget the Observatory Restraunt at the top is excellent food and includes your gondola ride in the price of dinner. Food is reasonable, drinks add up fast.

If you haven't seen Grizzly Bears up close this is your chance.

No matter where you go you will see some beautiful sights. All these were taken around Vancouver and the Fraser Valley.

If you have day to spend on a bike, rent one and hit the Duffey Lake Loop. One of a kind IMHO.,9.832764&z=7

If you come this way send me a PM and we'll get you a beer.

consider hiring a bike and riding some of the 'Destination Highways' (remind me to bring the book + map next weekend)
if you've got the time get out of Vancouver
alongside the Fraser River
go to the Okanagen Valley
go to Vancouver Island
