Nothing wrong with shooting. In most cases its not the real enthusiasts you should be worrying about anyways.

Amen. Like so many things... it's the criminals and idiots that use guns that give guns a bad name. I've got eight, from a 9mm auto to a tactical shotgun to a 30.06 deer rifle, and they've never done anything I didn't specifically tell them to do.

There seem to be parallels with motorcycles.

I have a handgun that I keep specifically telling to shoot 1" groups at 25 yards. It has yet to do what I tell it to do, obviously the gun's fault.

Furthermore, there are still chicken strips on my V's tires. I see the parallels...

I find few things as calming as going through the process of reloading your own ammunition. You really have to be focussed, and in the end the results speak for themselves.

Wow! My theme song.

I love guns and reloading, so do my wife and kids.
Around here it is a family sport and hobby.

Any bullet casters here? I sometimes think I like casting almost as much as reloading and working up a good handgun load...

Mostly I reload .38 Special, 9mm and .45acp.

I also reload 30.06, .30 Carbine and .223 for rifle.

I cast .38 and .45 in several style of bullets.

Hammer,
Do you reload? What calibers?

Used to be really into hand loading and shooting, even dabbled in some benchrest. But mostly shot alot of groundhogs. Used to have a 100yd range right out my back door on my land, the bench and chronograph stayed out all the time.

Rifles; 25-06, 223, 243, 30-06, 45-70 and my favorate - 6mm PPC

Handguns; 40S&W, 30-30, 375win, 223, 22 Hornet

Nothing like working a load up from scratch and then put a 5 shot one hole group at 100yds on the paper. My personal best is a .2" group, 5 shots 100yds, 6mm PPC.

Almost makes me want to dig out my stuff. Heck I have over 2500 rds of 223 I reloaded about 6 years ago that I'm slowly depleating, still it's gonna last along time, with as little as I shoot anymore.

Great fun though!

I love my guns, I own over 30 left by my Grandpa after he passed. Its not a gun thats bad, its the operator. Same as a vehicle, anyone can take one a run someone over on purpose. Doesnt mean that its the vehicles fault.

Liberal society makes me sick.

I agree with ArrizX,
just one step further, no living person is to blame for anything, because it's the "operators" parents and their parents and their parents and so forth, that is to blame for not raising their kids in a more thoughtful way,,, right?

To name a few, once upon a time innocent cute children who were raised wrong and became "operators";

Eric David Harris (Wichita, Kansas)
Dylan Bennet (Lakewood, Colorado)
Thomas Watt Hamilton (Dunblane, Scotland)
George Jo Hennard (Killeen, Texas)
Charles Whitman (Lake Worth, Florida), (poor boy got a brain tumor later in life)
All 9/11 attackers (Airplane "operators")
