That is pretty cool, but seems a bit excessive in anything smaller than a Goldwing. I would also be worried about the auto rotation or gyro effect if the crank was mounted front to back.

Cool! It will take a new break through to save us all from oil use.

A friend of mine claims we could have deisel motors 3cyl that would last 100 years and get great mpg. He claims they will not make them?

Looks very promising. The 91 octane they speak of is actually 87 here so 14 to 1 on regular!

There is no "magic" engine or carb or whatever that big oil has suppressed.

I agree. IF there was the "mythical" 100 mpg carb, the car companies (who spend LOTS of $ to meet the CARB rules on their "fleet average" mileage) would be ALL OVER IT!!!

Oil companies wouldn't ever do anything like that!

And ether would our government! What was I thinking! LOL

I stand corrected!

Was it Mark Twain who said, "Two people can keep a secret if one of them is dead?"

Reminds me of a Wankel rotary engine using pistons instead of rotors.

I disassembled a trashed Wankel rotary back in the late 1980's out of curiosity.
It was an interesting piece of machinery.
