240 MPG anyone???

I bet it doesn't get passed for selling in the USA, the poor oil companies
would just suffer so much if this type of thing was allowed!!!

Kind of hard to take 240 MPG highway rating when the top speed is only 31MPH. Highway speeds around here are 40MPH minimum. I do like the old VW micro bus look of it though.

I got 240 mpg the other day on my '08 - BIG RED.

Then the downhill ended after only a half mile, turned into an uphill, and my mileage "cratered"... ...! Back to 55 mpg or so.

I think the 30 MPH is on the "battery only" mode, but it's a City Center delivery van, which is what it's designed to do, & 30MPH is adequate for that, & I was envisaging it in London delivering steak & kidney pies or as a fish'n'chip door to door seller's transportation!!

The best mpg i have ever achieved is 85 miles on 2 quarts, average speed 34.2 mph.
Air temp around 25 deg, with a slight tailwind. I was pretty stuffed at the end. My bicycle carried two bottles of water, 2 banana's and one power bar.
