Smile McRib is back!

The awesome McRib is finally back on a comeback tour in Canada as well... Charles Ramsey!

http://www.mcdonalds.ca/ca/en/promotions/mcrib.html

Now, Burger King (none locally) is threatening to kill it with its new BBQ Rib for a third of the price, also for a limited time alongside the McRib... At worse, it will create good pricing competition.

Does anyone remember, when the McRib was first introduced, that comedian Arsenio Hall said McDonald's created the McRib to entice more McNegros into their restaurants?

No, it's officially "fast food" which has nothing at all to do with nutrition or healthy eating. Most fast food is so bad it's off the top of the glycemic index. But that's what America is all about. I believe we're responsible for gravy covered cheese fries. Doesn't that just make your mouth water - and your cholesterol levels sympathetically skyrocket?

Twenty-five percent of us are overweight and many of us who are overweight are obese. Eventually we'll probably all succumb to weight related diseases and it won't matter whether we have "affordable health care" or any health care at all. But until then, we'll still try to buy our medications in Canada! What a great country, eh?

Eh, nothing really wrong with pink slime (besides the squick-tastic term), but McRibs on the other hand... those are just gross. Never been able to understand the to-do whenever it comes back around. Is there a high percentage of sarcasm in all the attention that I'm not catching?

Nope. That'd be Quebec's "National Dish", called poutine.
