How many miles have you ridden in last TEN years...?

I'll start it off.
2003 Suzuki Bandit 1200S.......... 40,000 kms
2004 KLR650............................ 78,000 kms
2008 V (in AZ).......................... 43,000 MILES
2009 V (in BC).......................... 39,500 kms

...now, converting 157,500 kms to miles = 97,650, so adding the 43,000 in AZ, I come up with 140,650 miles, an AVERAGE OF 14,065 miles per year since 2003!

(Now some of these mileages are what I recall, so they're CLOSE - but I have NOT included those on the '79 Yamaha SR500 that I had till 2006 or '07....)

Out of the last ten years I've only ridden the past four... Although many years in total since 1964 when I first started.

My total for the last ten (four) years is around 37k.

Started riding 2 years ago... clocked 12k miles between 2 V's (1st one stolen after 3 months!). I'm a casual rider and take the cage to work so not too many miles get put on it like you guys!

But that doesn't mean I don't enjoy it!

Lovin every minute of it!

In that time period I put 70,000 miles on a K1200LT, 47,000 miles on the Versys, and about 3,000 miles on my wife's F650GS.

The yearly total is going way down though. I'm getting too old. At a gas stop during one of our longer trips a young whippersnapper complimented my wife and me on our choice of bikes. He said it was very refreshing to see folks as old as us on such sporty looking motorcycles.

I'm 61. Maybe I should say I'm getting soft instead of old. I no longer do long distance rallies, prefer to sleep in a bed at night, take at least one vacation per year in a car, never rode more than 700 miles in a day this year and only visited 10 states outside of Minnesota. I'm slowing down I tell ya.

Thumbs down

700mls in a day!!!...Yowzer!!...I did 550mls today & I have no intention of ever doing that again!!!....This "how many miles did you do?" thing is not what 'biking is all about! (well, not for me anyway!)

16,000 since my first bike in '07. Short riding season and a short commute (and 7-day work weeks for much of that time) make for fewer miles than I'd like.

I usually average about 10,000 a year. So I guess that would be about 100,000kms over the last 10 years. I don't really keep track...just ride!

{2003 Suzuki Bandit 1200S.......... 40,000 kms when sold}
{2004 KLR650..............................78,000 kms when sold}
2008 V (in AZ)................................... 59,000 MILES
2009 V (in BC) the GREEN HORNET....... 62,790 kms by the time it "died" in June '15
2015 V (in BC) the GREEN HORNET TOO...8,500 kms

I had the Bandit 1200S till sometime in '07, the KLR till April '10, so I'd estimate AT LEAST 10,000 kms on the B12, ABOUT 70,000 kms on the KLR, between '05 and now. And now, converting 151,290 kms to miles = 93,800, so adding the 59,000 in AZ, I come up with 162,800 miles, an AVERAGE OF 16,280 miles each year since 2005!

(Now some of these mileages are what I recall, so they're CLOSE - but I have NOT included those on the '79 Yamaha SR500 that I had till 2006 or '07....)
