I think that would be fun!

But is that a motorcycle, or a car as far as laws go? It says you can operate it in most states with just a car license, but how is this different than a Spyder?

From their websight...
Quote:
According to the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) “Motorcycle” means a motor vehicle with motive power having a seat or saddle for the use of the rider and designed to travel on not more than three wheels in contact with the ground.” So if it is less than four wheels it is a motorcycle. But what do you see when you look at the Elio? Fully enclosed, power windows, wiper blades, steering wheel, gas and brake pedals … you be the judge.
So they dont even know what it is.

I did the original post because "they say"
it's $6,800, it get's 84-mpg, and it's a car, A/C and an AM/FM radio, heater, defrost, the three airbags, power windows and door lock, seat belts, tempered glass, and windshield wiper.

I find it remarkable or hard to believe that a 1 liter vehicle will be sold at that price.

it's attributes really make sense to me

I like it! Hopefully this prototype will be able to make the "jump" from the development phase to actual production. It is a tough thing to do for any new product, and it is especially difficult for something with as many parts as a vehicle, in an already highly competitive automotive industry. Maybe if this vehicle works out, and maybe if batteries make a big jump in development/performance, we could see an electric version?

Lol break it in half. There's a reason it's cheap the smart busa iirc had quite a bit swapped out to handle the power however the structural frame didn't need to much.

You might have to reengineer this little thing for that lol. Would be awesome though, keep an eye on YouTube
