New chief of design at Harley

Milwaukee Free Press - In a move that has surprised no one, Harley Davidson officially announce Karl Lagerfeld as their new chief of design. Lagerfeld, who has been acting as interim designer at Harley, since Willy Davidson left the company, will now officially gain the role. Lagerfeld brings with him over 20 years at the forefront of the very competitive Paris fashion industry. Lagerfeld was instrumental in the design of the entire 2013 line said company CEO Keith Wandell. Following the footsteps of Arlenn Ness, Lagerfeld is the second successful haute couture designer to make the transition to the motorcycle industry.

Lagerfeld's predictions for the 2014 season include darker, bolder colors, higher handle bars, a continued lowering of suspensions (many bikes in the 2014 lineup have less than 1/2 inch of travel) and a return to chrome.

Not as far from reality as today's date might imply...

A designers job at Harley would be much the same as at Porsche, dead easy.

Good luck exploring the infinite abyss
