Deer hunt in NZ

A good friend of mine took this vid of a recent hunting trip, we love our guns for hunting in NZ not self defence.

Yep red deer are the most common then you have the likes of wapiti, siki, sambar and whitetail which is found down on stewart island at bottom of NZ ( have been into stewart island for a 10 day hunting/fishing trip using my mosberg 270)

Not here, most good hunters here will take the meat to feed there family's with a freezer full of venison and some will only kill what is required and then take photos of anymore deer they spot the bad ones just drop them where they stand and not pick up any meat. Hunting is very much part of the kiwi culture where we go bush and spend time with nature.

Up here in western Canada where there are grizzlies, SOMETIMES your hunting rifle IS for self-defense....
