Cheap shipping of large box?

I am going to put my oem panniers up for sale, and would like to offer them on this site at a nice price. But shipping looks crazy expensive! Well over $100 each for the cheapest ground shipping. This can't be right, because the boxes I will use are the ones the Givi aluminum boxes came in. There's no way the business I purchased the new luggage from paid that much to ship me 2 boxes.

Am I missing something? I used the UPS, Fedex, and USPS websites to enter the actual box dimensions and weight.

Has anyone shipped boxes lately for a reasonable price? The actual boxes I have are 16x22x25 and 25x26x20. Each pannier weighs 7 pounds, and only 1 will fit in each of the boxes I have.

Modenes right usually the best way to go. I use to buy and sell quite a few seats. It would cost from $17.00 to $25.00 USPS Parcel Post including insurance. Last time i shipped a seat to Terry Adcock it cost me over $55.00. I shipped a couple of top case's and can't remember how much but it was cheaper than the seats...

read the last of my post https://www.kawasakiversys.com/forum...65-post16.html

I looked at buying the Corbin seat, weight with box about 10 pounds, to Ontario about $129 USD, those panniers will be over $200, sorry, read your post again, noticed I am spot on with the $100 each

if you have a FedEx or UPS hub closes to you (there is a least one in every decent size city) go there. Have them quote. I learned years ago the UPS Store and FedEx (Kinko's) charges 2X the actual rate.
