In this particular instance it is next to a side water of the Skagit River (third biggest river on the west coast).

Right, it is opposite the entrance to the Skagit Regional Hospital. Swans in a field on that day.
Dead end.
The roads are always here for your riding pleasure!

Oh how I miss riding back home ( Yes, I still consider WA my home). Heading North to ride HWY 20, or dart off and ride Chuckanut Dr or both. How I am jonesing to ride the Alps of the Northwest. I am jealous, thanks for sharing. Your bike looks awesome. When Mt Vernon starts popping with all the Tulips. Let's see another pic. That's if you are taking requests!

It's been swell, but the swelling has gone down.

I too love riding Washington state. And Skagit area is my go to from Vancouver,I have a few loops I can do in a day ride or if the weather sucks on the mountainous coast go east on the other side of the Cascades where its usually drier and warmer for camping. The Olympic peninsula is great riding too but can be prone to cool fog on the coast, involves a quick ferry ride from here. My only problem in a day trip return is getting across the border and back for the day, kinda sucks the life out of a great day!

I hear you brother. Boarding crossings are definitely tough. The Olympic Pennisula is very nice. I used to camp on my bike quite a bit. So jumping in front of the line to catch a ferry boat out of either Mukilteo or Edmonds was in order. Then jet out to Hurricane Ridge (preferably) and set up camp. Many campers would have to come over and chat it up. As I pull ice cold beer out of my saddlebags, stoke up a fire, then cook up Shish Kabobs. Some good memories. You have some beautiful country in your neck of the woods.

It's been swell, but the swelling has gone down.
